STUDIO POLICIES

TUITION  

  • Tuition is to be received on the 1st of each month through an automatic-payment, set up with a credit  or debit card.  Credit card payments are subject to a 3% additional charge - please use a debit card to avoid the fee. 

  • If a payment is declined, you will receive notice by email and must update your payment information prior to your next scheduled lesson in order to maintain your reserved time. 

  • A $25 late fee will be applied if there is a balance on the 5th of the month. Students with an outstanding balance may be removed from the schedule due to non-payment.

 

CANCELLATIONS AND MAKE UPS

  • We do not offer any make - ups for client cancellations for group classes.

  • For private lessons: please submit your cancellation request online by noon the day of your originally scheduled lesson to be issued a make up credit. Any cancellations received after will result in the lesson being cancelled with no option to reschedule. 

  • You may cancel your lesson online at any time in your Opus portal!

  • Late cancellations (ie. after 12 pm on the day of your originally scheduled lesson) do not qualify for make-up credits.

  • A make-up credit will be issued to your account immediately if you early cancel (ie. before 12 pm on the day of your originally scheduled lesson) if you have not yet reached your credit limit. Each student is allowed one make-up credit per 30 day period per membership. 

  • In the event that your usual instructor is unavailable for a make-up lesson, the lesson may be scheduled with any available instructor. 

  • Make-up lessons may not be rescheduled. If canceled, make-up lessons are forfeited. 

  • All make-up credits expire 30 days from the date they are issued.

  • In the event of an instructor’s absence for regular or make-up lessons, a qualified substitute will be assigned to replace the scheduled instructor. If a substitute cannot be arranged, all lessons will be rescheduled as soon as possible. 

  • Please give us a call or email if you have any issues with scheduling your make-up!

PERFORMANCES  

Students that demonstrate strong work ethic and readiness are eligible to perform in a Destiny Studio Showcase! Participating students pay a showcase fee and attendance is free for all guests. In the event that a student declines to perform after a commitment has been made, a refund is not available for the showcase fee. 

 

HOLIDAYS  

Destiny Studio is closed for the following major holidays: 

  • AISD Spring Break 

  • Good Friday 

  • Memorial Day 

  • Independence Day 

  • Labor Day 

  • Thanksgiving (Wednesday - Sunday) 

  • AISD Christmas Break 

 

There will be no make-up lessons offered for these holidays. In the event of inclement weather, we will follow the Aledo ISD school closing policy. If the studio closes due to a weather related situation, a group lesson will be offered later in the semester for all students who wish to make-up their lesson.

 

LESSON TERMINATION 

Lessons may be discontinued in the event of unmanageable behavior, disrespect of property or staff, excessive absences/no-shows, or delinquent payments. In the event of discontinuation, refunds will not be given.

 

ENROLLMENT CANCELLATION

To ensure your cancellation is processed in time, we require that your cancellation request be received by the 14th day of the month in order to avoid being charged for the following month. If we receive your request after the 14th of the month, you will still be billed for the next month.

Example:

  • If you wish to cancel your subscription for the month of March, your cancellation request must be submitted by February 14th.

  • If you submit your cancellation request on February 15th or later, you will still be charged for the month of March, and the cancellation will take effect in April.

NO WEAPONS

For the safety of all students, staff, and guests, weapons of any kind (including firearms, knives, and any other dangerous objects) are strictly prohibited on Destiny Studio premises. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate removal from the premises and potential termination of lessons.

PHOTOS/SOCIAL MEDIA  

At Destiny Studio, we love sharing the joy and excitement of our events and activities through photos and social media. However, we understand and respect that some families prefer not to have their children photographed or featured online.

​

If you would prefer that your child not be photographed or posted on our website or social media platforms, please let us know in writing by sending an email to aledo@destinystudio.net. We will ensure that your wishes are respected.
